Paolo Miguel Ordonio is a development professional with over seven years of experience advancing media and information literacy (MIL) and community empowerment across the Philippines and Southeast Asia. He currently serves as Program Manager of the Out of the Box Media Literacy Initiative and Executive Director of the Break The Fake Movement, a civil society organization promoting responsible digital citizenship, civic participation, and critical thinking.

Pao has led and managed numerous high-impact regional and national initiatives, including the AI Ready ASEAN Programme, ASEAN Digital Literacy Programme, ASEAN Data Science Explorers 2025, the YSEALI Regional Workshop 2025 in the Philippines, and a YSEALI-funded civic participation campaign. Beyond program management, he has taken on consultancy roles with government agencies and other organizations, leading the development of MIL programs and campaigns that advance democratic participation and counter disinformation.

Deeply rooted in grassroots work, Pao collaborates with various non- profit organizations for community development, design thinking, gender and development, and capacity building. His impactful work has earned him several recognitions, including the iVolunteer Champion for Integrity Award in 2024.

An educator at heart, Pao is a Licensed Professional Teacher with a degree in Broadcast Communication from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. He is currently pursuing his Master’s in Development Communication at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, further grounding his practice in both academic and community-based approaches.
